The Supreme Court on Friday extended its stay on the execution of Nithari serial killer Surinder Koli till October 29.

While extending the stay, an apex court bench headed by Chief Justice-designate Justice HL Dattu asked the senior counsel to place before them in bullet points the grounds on which Koli is seeking a review of the judgement confirming his death sentence by the top court.
The court will hear Koli's review petition on October 28.
Koli has been sentenced to death for the brutal killing of a 14-year-old girl Rimpa Haldar. He has also been given the death sentence in other cases relating to the rape and murder of four other children. There are 11 more cases of rape and murder pending against him.
The President had rejected Koli's mercy petition on July 27, paving the way for the judicial process to commence for hanging of Koli. Last week the SC stayed the hanging for a week, which has now been extended till October 29.

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
